Kabul Old City or the heart of Afghanistan is the capital and largest city of the country. It is distinguished for being the most commercialized town of Islam with various places of interest from ancient mosques up to the latest designs of hotels. Kabul City has a very intriguing setting situated at 1.8 km above sea level in between valleys, mountains and rivers. Prehistoric parks, mosques and museum as well as contemporary style of hotels, airports and malls can be seen in this city.

Unlike any other parks with colorful flowers and mini playgrounds, parks from Kabul are beautifully landscaped with gardens, edifices and small bodies of water. The 11-hectare Babur Garden is the most popular and visited park in Kabul. You can find the tomb of the first Moghul Emperor Bāgh-e Bābur on this square stirred with Islamic architecture built on over five centuries ago. Mosques on the other hand, Pul-e Khishti Mosque and Haji Abdul Rahman Mosque, are the leading mosques in the country where Islam people worship and pray for Allah.
The national museum, also known as the Kabul Museum has almost 100,000 treasures made up of ivory and other antiques. However, for visitors who want to savor modern buildings, Kabul has an answer for that hunger.

Contemporary Islamic architecture consists of mix materials and minimizes the use of traditional bricks and carvings. Among the long lists of chic hotels in Kabul, InterContinental Hotel is the largest and hottest hotels in the city. And it is only 15 minutes away from Kabul International Airport, which will serve as a great haven for tired visitors.

There are a lot of things this place has to offer such as ancient and contemporary structures that are conveniently available. So, what are you waiting for? Listen to the beat of Islam’s heart.

The crossroads between Central and South Asia is yet to be discovered by visitors. Khyber Pass Road is known from its historical contribution to society, through exploited combats and never-ending distribution, is one of the most talked-about places in Central and South Asia.

Being the major passageway for two countries namely Pakistan and Afghanistan, Khyber Pass Road has been a great discovery for Islam people. It is a 33-mile passage with only three meters as its width and a cliff of almost 200 meters high. In the 18th century, it was just a small road that was constructed by the British people and was lately converted to a highway on the following century.

Visitors visit Khyber Pass Road since it is known to be a legendary mountain pass in the whole world. In ancient times, it was the strategic military location of soldiers and armed forces from different countries. During winter season, the mountains that surround the road are sometimes covered with snow which makes the journey more remarkable. Today, both ends of this course have its own villages and serves as a highway for both countries and trading system for refugees.

It sure was the means of war from the past, but not on our time. Now, it serves as a visitor spot which catches the attention of thousands of visitors every year even big celebrities. Never miss this opportunity to visit the historical mountain passage in the universe. Standing or just even driving along this road makes you feel like you have traveled and experienced the soundless battle it has been through. Do not ignore the wonderful and enthralling sensation this happening has to give and let your historical sanity live once more.

Have you ever heard of Afghanistan’s wonders? One of them is Jam Minaret. Here’s a little overview of the prehistoric site. Jam Minaret gained the first success of UNESCO’s lists of World Heritage Sites for Afghanistan on 2002. It is a 65 m tall structure that is bounded by 2.4 km mountains which lies near with two rivers namely Hari Rud and Jam Rud River. The location of this elegant expertise is seen on the western part of Afghanistan that lies on the core of Ghur province.

This Islamic inspired structural design is made up of baked brick with comprehensive carvings, nashki calligraphy and scriptures from Quoran, the Islamic Bible. For a short history of the location, it was erected during the Ghurid civilization and served as Islam’s “victory tower” amongst others. The historical site will be widely appreciated by travelers, architects, artists and most especially photographers that have a huge admiration and devotion to arts, design and nature.

The construction is leaning by now and is prone from natural disasters. Because of the proximity of two rivers from the edifice, floods will most likely assault the area and wreck this masterpiece in a blink of an eye. Earthquakes and unexpected dangers might harm the place as well. Although this danger has been controlled and ongoing civilizing action has been made, unlikely events might still happen.

When you are at Jam Minaret, you will be climbing a narrow, DNA-shaped, ladder staircase which will be used for going up to the tower that will enhance the dramatic effect and feeling for the exploration of the entire area. Upon reaching the top, you could see other wonders the Ghur province has to offer to its tourists such as the site of the mountains and rivers.

Now that you are very well informed, hurry and visit the place until you have time. Having a thirst for fine art and natural history, this is an exceptional, breath-taking, worthy and once in a lifetime experienced to be accomplished right away.
