Fajardo, Puerto Rico is located in east region of Puerto Rico. It is a popular city despite of it being a small place. Fajardo is a place for recreational boating in Puerto Rico and also a popular open port to other British and American Islands. This is also where you can find the largest Marina named Puerto del Rey. This town has different inns and hotels. There are a few small islands near Fajardo where the shore has beautiful by coral reefs.

Fajardo, Puerto Rico was named originally as Codey Astol de Fajardo. It was founded by Codey in 1760 and later used as one of the spots by Americans to conquer Puerto Rico. Fajardo’s main industries are metal works, components and furniture manufacturing. They also have bio-sciences and pharmaceutical companies.

Fajardo, Puerto Rico became popular among locals and tourists because of their hotels, seafood, close access to Palomino islands and the daily trips by boat or airplanes to Culebra and Vieques. The place is also known for its clean and calm beaches that are best for snorkeling. The Seven Seas Beach provides numerous facilities for water sports, snorkeling, scuba diving and sailing. They also have Bioluminescent Lagoons that are very few in the world. They offer nightly trips for educational purposes.

The place also has one of the oldest lighthouses in the territory, resorts, toen squares, natural reserves, parks, and Cathedrals. Some of the festivities held here are Kite Festival, Patron Saint Festivities, Sailboat Regata, Paradise and Cocolia festival.

  1. Hi, what is the temperature in November in Fajardo, PR? Is it warm enough to swim? What exactly is the Cocolia festival? i was in PR. as a youngster, on a vacation , and always wanted to return to see the Bioluminscent lagoons. Thanks, Kathryn
