History
The Lake Palace was built by Maharana Jagat Singh II (Ruler of the Jaipur City) in the year 1743 to 1746. The palace was initially built as a majestic summer palace, also known as Jan Niwas or Jaginwas after its construction. There is a huge circle in the palace’s upper room which is about 6.4 meters; it is built with white and black marble stones, in addition the palace walls are built with colored stones which are also used in the construction of Taj Mahal (one of the seven wonders in the world).
