Africa has a lot of beautiful treasures. It is a pity that our governments haven’t been able to look at these beautiful flora and fauna and the potential they have to offer future generations. The Albertine rift region has a lot of endemics and the Ituri region is not very far from it. During a recent trip I found out that many types of bush-meat can easily be gotten from the communities around Uganda’s national parks. Yet Uganda Wildlife Authority has lots of funds that it collects from tourist gate entrance fees annually.

There should always be a move made by governments to relocate people who have homesteads by government land ie National parks.

It has always been a problem when it comes to wildlife and poaching. Conservation organisations should try to provide alternatives to the people who leave near the national parks otherwise, they will always continue poaching.
