You can’t tell if you’re in Disney’s California Adventure or in Napa Valley? Just near the entrance of Disney’s California Adventure is the Golden Vine Winery. It commemorates Northern California’s Napa valley and the industry of wine making in California. So even if it’s not really a winery, the place will take you on a short preview of how wine is made. And if you like wines, then you’re in for a treat. Wine tasting is one of the many attractions here and you can even get to try an assortment of wines at an additional cost.
On March 30, 2008, the Golden Vine was previously run by Napa’s Robert Mondavi Winery closed and was transformed as the Blue Sky Cellar. Disney took over and it re-opened on October 2008. The Golden Vine Winery is also home to the Italian restaurant with the rustic countryside feel to it called Wine Country Trattoria. Another restaurant situated at the top storey of the winery is The Vineyard Room. The location of this restaurant gives access for guests to have the perfect view for Disney’s Electrical Parade. It is also classier and pricier than the Trattoria. The aim of this winery is to introduce to tourists the California wine country experience.
Every year, the Winery celebrates Disney’s California food and wine festival where visitors can take pleasure in the wine-tasting sessions conducted by distinguished sommeliers and celebrity chefs hosting special dinners. Wine, beer and spirits tasting is complimentary during these events, they can even teach you how to taste wine like an expert. Other activities include watching demonstrations as well as sampling the succulent pastry creations of various world famous chefs This festival has become one of the reasons why guests keep coming back every year. It is indeed, a feast for the palate!
