It was awarded the UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Prague Castle District.

The Cesky Krumlov Castle is enormous considering the area of the district in which it was built. Inside the castle, you will see a huge garden, a wide and extensive bridge that connects the gap between the rock where the castle was built and the castle itself. It is made up of many defined parts which actually date back from different time periods.

Somebody with appreciation for historical and intricate architecture could definitely feel at home in Cesky Krumlov. People who find pleasure in visiting historical places as well as seeing different designs of complex infrastructure can enjoy the likes of St. Vitus church which is of Gothic style dating back to the 15th century and the castle’s Baroque Theater. The city also has a museum that hosts the works of the painter Egon Schiele for art lovers and collectors.

You can also visit the old monasteries of Zlata Koruna or The Golden Crown. If you would like hiking, you can always go to Sumava National Park which is the country’s largest national park and get some exercise while seeing the natural beauty of the place.
