Emerald Bay, Bahamas is a quiet location ideal for people who would like to take a break from their hectic routine in the corporate world. It faces the windward side of the Bahamian island of Exuma and could therefore be considered a pretty windy spot. If you love the sea breeze and the thought of enjoying it as you read your favorite book or sip a cool pinacolada, then this place is perfect for you.

The waters in Emerald Bay are very friendly and if you have kids, they will surely love to play on the beach. On the other hand, if you and your partner love golf, there is a Greg Norman Designed Course where you can play ‘til your heart’s content. You would probably appreciate golfing here better than any place else because of the accompanying great views.

When it comes to a place to stay, you will find no problem because there’s the Emerald Bay Hotel. If it’s full, you can easily check the Grand Isle Villa next door which is equally nice.

The Exuma Cays are marvelous and they are surely worth your visit. Since you are already within the area, it is best to drop by some of the famous spots like the Government Wharf, the Mystery Cave, Three Sisters Rock, and the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park. Government Wharf is the busiest part of the island where you can try some of the best restaurants. The Mystery Cave, on the other hand, is a haven for divers and snorkelers. If you don’t like diving, you would probably enjoy the Three Sisters Rock formations jutting up from the sea. Lastly, the Exuma Sea Park is where you can find the rarest living things on earth like the stromatolites—the reef-forming, blue-green algae. There’s definitely a lot to do in this quiet part of the Bahamas.
