It has a strategic location – built on the outskirts of the city, making it an advantageous place during the ancient wars. Moreover, the fort is also a known source of the most lustrous diamonds in the world. Diamond mines are still intact and available for private viewing in the area.

The Hussain Sagar Lake is also one of the places worth visiting in Hyderabad. It is one of the few man-made lakes in the world. Besides, it is a large one in comparison, located within the city.
