As most of the people would say, the experience of visiting Mumbai will be incomplete if the tourists will not stop by this landmark considered as India’s version of the famous Statue of Liberty. It is also referred to as the Gateway of India. Influenced by the British art, the Gateway looks spectacular inside and out.

Another great landmark in Mumbai would be the Prince of Wales Museum. As the name suggests, the museum also has British-influenced architecture, mainly because it was one of the structures built during the British occupancy in the area. The landmark also bears the Indo-Saracenic style of art, which can be clearly seen in the columns and windows of the museum. The building, moreover, was built in honor of the Prince of Wales during the time when he visited Mumbai.

Another famous landmark in Mumbai would be the Mahalaxmi temple, which was built in honor of the Mahalaxmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Despite not having the British art influence, the temple is rich in intricate details that are said to be indicative more of the Indo-Sarcenic style.

Moreover, Mumbai also has the popular tomb of Haji Ali. The people in Mumbai pay their respects everyday they come across this magnificent building.
