Timisoara is known as Romania’s most beautiful square, that’s because it is surrounded by places that leave you in awe. Located in the Banat region of Western Romania, it is the also the region’s university and industrial center. It is often referred to as the most cosmopolitan city in all of Romania.

Famous sites in Timisoara include the House of Prince Eugen of Savoya, The Roman Catholic Cathedral, The Synagogue on Marasesti Street, and the Museum of Banat on Huniade Square. The Museum is hosted by the Castle of Huniades and it displays important artefacts in the Banat region. The Piata Operei (Theater and Opera House) is also a grand attraction located on Victoria Square. It is where many of Timisoara’s socio-cultural events are held.

Timisoara’s most visited religious sites are the very grand Orthodox Cathedral, and the Tokes Reformed Church. The Orthodox Cathedral is not just a religious structure but also an amazing architectural building and it encompasses an art gallery. The Unirii Square and the Piata Victoriei (Victoria Square) are also the town’s very attractive plazas. The Piata Operei (Theater and Opera House) is a grand attraction located on Victoria Square. It is where many of Timisoara’s socio-cultural events are held. For those into spas, Timisoara’s Div Ja Spa boasts of excellent services and very relaxing treatments.
