Belize

The only country in South America to have a coastline on the Pacific Ocean, Belize is a country small in size but big on adventure. With a large variety of things to do, boredom is never an option when visiting Belize. The rich biodiversity within this country means that there is a never ending supply of outdoor activities to experience. This could be anything from snorkeling the beautiful blue ocean waters, to hiking in the Amazon jungles, or going exploring in one of the numerous caves that can be found throughout the country.

Belize has a tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. Temperatures vary based on elevation, distance from the coast, and the moderating effects of the northeast trade winds off the Caribbean. Average temperatures in the coastal regions range from 24 °C (75 °F) in January to 27 °C (81 °F) in July. Inland, the temperatures are slightly warmer, except for the southern highland plateaus, where it can be noticeably cooler year round. Usually, the biggest fluctuations in weather would be in the humidity and rainfall.

For a break from all of the outdoor activities in Belize, there are numerous casinos and nightclubs. For Vegas-like action, visit the Princess Hotel and Casino. Located on the waterfront just off Barracks Road, it’s glitzy and well designed with faux marble floors, fully air-conditioned and offering free drinks to help you get warmed up for a night of gambling.

So for a good tropical time, visit Belize and have the time of your life.
