The Sensoji Temple is one of the most important places of worship in the city. You can make use of the Kaminarimon or the Thunder Gate to enter the temple. It is a Buddhist temple that was made in the 7th century. On your way to the temple is the Nakamise-dori, a pedestrian street where vendors can be found selling various snacks as well as jewelry. You must also pay a visit to the much-respected Shinto shrine in the city. It is known as the Meiji Shrine. The shrine is located inside a forest that is situated in the heart of the city. Attending a sumo match is also a must for any tourist visiting Tokyo. If you visit the city in the month of January, May, or September, you can watch the two-week long Basho or sumo tournaments. While you are in this city, you must also try the sushi.
