Miami Seaquarium is a South Florida attraction like no other. It is the longest running oceanarium in the United States. The Sequarium is located on a 38-acre tropical paradise island just minutes from Downtown Miami and Miami Beach. The place offers visitors a unique entertainment and educational experience. Miami Seaquarium is a place of inspiration and fun that offers world-class marine life entertainment. Featuring eight different marine shows and daily presentations, the Seaquarium attracts locals as well as tourists from around the world.

This oceanarium is a great place to observe the vibrant exhibits of aquatic life. The animal attractions enable visitors to witness the allure and fragility of the oceanic fauna. There are dolphins, sea turtles, crocodiles as well as many other sea creatures and tropical animals to see, touch and feed. Visitors can also look in to a 750,000 gallon saltwater aquarium and get a close up look at a tropical reef. The sea aquarium also has lot of exotic and tropical birds to see and feed including parrots and peacocks.

What to See

The sea aquarium offers various shows and presentations featuring whales, dolphins and sea lions. The centerpiece of the aquarium is the Whale and Dolphin show, where Lolita the killer whale and her Pacific white side companions show off their antics and athletic abilities. Flipper Dolphin show is also quite popular among visitors. Here, dolphins demonstrate their grace and intelligence featuring spins, jumps, and flips. Top Deck Dolphin show features the acrobatic abilities of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins.

One of the most popular exhibits is Discovery Bay. It is a mangrove habitat where you can find crocodiles, alligators, white tailed deer, indigenous fish and rays, endangered sea turtles and a host of native birds. Manatee Exhibit provides visitors with an opportunity to come face-to-face with Florida’s state marine mammal through poolside and underwater viewing areas. In addition to this, there is a Main Reef aquarium, Shark Presentation and California Sea Lion exhibit.


A day at Miami Seaquarium will cost $29.95 for adults and $22.95 for children between 3 and 9. If you have a Go Miami Card, you can get free entry.
